i'm officially walking away from this religion.
even though it means i'll be on my own.
i don't really care anymore.
Be true to yourself. However, I gotta tell you, you'll find the same kind of people everywhere. It's part of our most imperfect human condition.
Be well.

i gets me almost into a frezy when witnesses use this asinine argument.. if jws were ever the reason for bloodless surgery reasearch it was because doctors were tired of having to let you guys die.
they found a way to keep your asses alive even with your ridiculous superstitions!
you should thank the doctors of this world for having such love and compassion.... -sab.
We sincerely do thank all professionals in the healthcare industry who respect our beliefs and give us the best treatment available without violating our conscience.
There are now throughout the nation plenty of doctors and institutions that offer all sorts of surgeries and treatments just as effective without the use of blood. Surely a blessing to JWs and many others that object to the use of blood.
DY - Hello y'all!!!
i'm a little shocked they would go this far, then again jehovah's quickening the pace...?
i was at my last day of the spanish 2-day circuit assembly when they went over the announcements, one of them the economic report.
it did start off good (for them) mentioning last assembly's (district i assume) actual surplus after the operation costs were taken care of.
During these tough times, the Organization is making the best cost-effective decisions; and the preaching work as well as the brotherhood association, which are the most important things, continue on just as strong as ever.

i was pushing my sister's wheelchair as we were enjoying the perfect .
saturday noon weather.
we were going to a local restaurant to get .
Those were quite the words you had with the JWs! BRAVO!
If I would've been the adult standing there I would've asked you calmly to discuss a case in point of disfellowshipping and shunning, rather than just a general blanket statement like you made; you just caught those poor brothers by surprise and very unprepared, I must admit. Hopefully they'll be better prepared next time.
The Organization just doesn't disfellowship people as if taking someone's name out of a hat. There is a very lengthy process that leads to disfellowshipping a person; towards the end, the person him/herself makes it plenty clear by their actions and many foolish ones even go as far as putting in writing out of their own free will that they no longer want to be a JW. Then, YES, by all means, grant their wish and let them go on and lead their lives how they see fit, and, YES, without the support of other JWs!
Read your Bible... HELLO!!! From the Old to the New Testament, there has always been the practice of expulsion for those individuals that choose to stop serving God!
By the way, I took away by your bitter words that you haven't done a good job of moving on with your life and forgetting about the JWs. Please, do yourself a favor... move on to the so much better non-JW life.

i've often wondered how witnesses seem to do well with christ's 2nd commandment with fellow witnesses and not all their neighbors.
is this just another effect of their teachings?
do they translate this scripture differently in their bible?.
Galatians 6:10 "Really, then, as long as we have time favorable for it, let us work what is good toward all, but especially toward those related to [us] in the faith."
Our love for our neighbors is shown in many ways, especially in the preaching work. But our message is neither popular nor is it accepted, our lifestyle is very uncommon, and this creates division. Since there isn't much in common in our way of living compared to the masses, then there'll always be the perception that we don't care for our fellow man, when in fact we do care; we just won't put our beliefs aside to appear amicable.
Jesus Christ too was accused of all sorts of things that were not true.

If you want the religious view point, then go to www.watchtower.org and do a search on the subject.
Although, I get the deep down feeling that you already know the answer very well.

its a "worldly" holiday and both my daughter and i are at home, not in service.
i got up, made us breakfast, (sausage and eggs) and now i'm playing on jw net.. on the downside, my wife and son are out in service and i have to sit down and put together my service groups time and turn that in to the secretary... (although my son didnt want to go.. he complained "cant we just have a chill day".. i was going to let him stay home but he changed his mind to go see a friend who said he was also going out...).
all you active jw's... did you or are you going out..or are you ditching?.
I'm a JW in pretty good standing. However, I choose to stay home during most holidays because I work quite hard secularly and I need rest myself.

i was just talking to a guy who's been df'd for years and he still talks about things like it was yesterday in watchtowerland.. are you still consumed by your jw past?.
It's like that song, Hotel California by The Eagles: "You can check out anytime you want, but you can never leave."
You should know about that Minimus quite well.
"Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in!"
